Empowerment Fundraising Dinner

On Sunday, 28 September 2025, the Kelsons Relief and Care Foundation (KRCF) participated in the Empowerment Fundraising Dinner organized by the Bwari Deanery Council of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive economic empowerment and community development. The event brought together faith leaders, development stakeholders, and community members with a shared goal of mobilizing resources to support sustainable livelihood opportunities for individuals in need.

The Chairman/CEO of KRCF was represented at the event by Mr. Stephen Emerole, Business Development Manager, whose presence underscored the Foundation’s strong institutional support for empowerment-focused initiatives. The engagement provided an important platform for dialogue on partnership, impact, and collective responsibility in addressing economic vulnerability and promoting self-reliance within underserved communities.

In line with one of KRCF’s core thematic areas—Empowerment—and following the approval of the Chairman/CEO, the Foundation provided a financial support of ₦1,000,000.00 toward the empowerment initiative. This support was specifically targeted at enabling five (5) beneficiaries to acquire the resources and skills required for sustainable livelihoods, with the ultimate goal of ensuring their economic independence. The intervention reflects KRCF’s strategic approach to empowerment, which prioritizes long-term impact over short-term relief.

The support was delivered on the basis of a strategic partnership with the Bwari Deanery Council of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, whose grassroots engagement and community reach strengthen the effectiveness of the initiative. By working collaboratively, both organizations aim to ensure accountability, proper implementation, and measurable outcomes that translate into improved income generation and enhanced quality of life for the beneficiaries.

This intervention aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). In conclusion, KRCF’s participation and financial contribution to the empowerment fundraising dinner highlight the Foundation’s enduring commitment to fostering self-reliance, strengthening partnerships, and promoting sustainable economic development. Through targeted empowerment initiatives, KRCF continues to support individuals and communities in building resilient and dignified livelihoods.
