Partnership Agreement with CAFOD
The Kelsons Relief and Care Foundation (KRCF) recently carried out a high-level advocacy visit and strategic partnership engagement with the Country Representative (CR) of Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) Nigeria, reinforcing its commitment to collaborative approaches in addressing pressing social and development challenges. The meeting provided a valuable platform for dialogue, shared learning, and the exploration of synergies between both organizations, all geared toward strengthening community-driven and impact-focused interventions.
During the engagement, the KRCF team presented an overview of the Foundation’s mission, core programmes, and on-going initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable populations. Emphasis was placed on education, community development, and social protection, highlighting how strategic partnerships can enhance scale, sustainability, and long-term impact. The discussion also explored opportunities for joint advocacy, resource mobilization, and programme alignment in areas of mutual interest.
The advocacy visit underscored the importance of partnership as a catalyst for effective development work. By engaging CAFOD Nigeria at a strategic level, KRCF reaffirmed its belief that lasting change is best achieved through collaboration with like-minded organizations that share common values of equity, accountability, and social justice. Such engagements are critical in influencing policy, strengthening institutional capacity, and amplifying the voices of underserved communities.
This engagement aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which emphasizes the role of strong collaborations in achieving sustainable development outcomes. It also supports SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by fostering coordinated efforts that improve access to resources, services, and opportunities for marginalized groups. Through advocacy and partnership building, KRCF continues to position itself as a proactive contributor to national and global development agendas.
In conclusion, the advocacy visit and strategic partnership engagement with CAFOD Nigeria represents a significant step in KRCF’s journey toward expanding impact through collaboration. The participation of Mr. Stephen Emerole (Resource Mobilization & Business Development) and Mr. James Anduwa (Accounts) reflects the Foundation’s integrated approach to programme growth, financial accountability, and partnership development. KRCF remains committed to nurturing strategic alliances that drive sustainable change and deliver measurable outcomes for communities in need.
