School A Child – MAC Higherland School, Asokoro
The Kelsons Relief and Care Foundation (KRCF) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to inclusive education as its team visited MAC Higherland School, Asokoro Extension, Abuja, to formally hand over educational materials to beneficiaries of the School a Child (SAC) Project from Cherryfields Children’s Home. The visit marked another important milestone in KRCF’s mission to ensure that vulnerable children are not denied access to quality education due to financial or social constraints. The event was filled with gratitude, encouragement, and renewed hope for the academic future of the beneficiaries.
As part of the intervention, KRCF confirmed the full payment of school fees and all related charges for the beneficiaries for the 2025/2026 academic year, thereby guaranteeing uninterrupted access to schooling. In addition to settling these financial obligations, the Foundation provided essential educational materials to support effective learning throughout the academic session. This comprehensive support reflects KRCF’s understanding that true educational empowerment goes beyond enrollment to include sustained academic readiness and stability.
The handover of learning materials took place within the school premises and included items tailored to meet the daily academic needs of the pupils. By equipping the children with the necessary tools for learning, KRCF is helping to foster confidence, participation, and improved learning outcomes. The partnership with MAC Higherland School further highlights the importance of collaboration between civil society organizations and educational institutions in advancing child-centered development initiatives.
This initiative directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for vulnerable children. It also contributes to SDG 1 (No Poverty) by reducing the financial burden on caregiving institutions such as Cherryfields Children’s Home, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by ensuring that children from underserved backgrounds receive the same educational opportunities as their peers. Through such interventions, KRCF continues to align its programs with globally recognized development priorities.
In conclusion, the support extended to SAC beneficiaries at MAC Higherland School underscores KRCF’s long-term commitment to transforming lives through education. By removing financial barriers and providing essential learning resources, the Foundation is laying a strong foundation for academic success and personal development. KRCF remains dedicated to expanding the reach of the School a Child Project and strengthening partnerships that enable every child to learn, grow, and thrive.
